Join our team on a newly awarded 5-year prime contract supporting IT, data, software, networks, cloud, cybersecurity, strategy, and operations within the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) at a large-scale Cabinet-level Department. Your role will be critical in protecting sensitive information at the highest levels of the Department. This metro-accessible opportunity is located in downtown DC, within walking distance from the McPherson Square Metro station.


What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Manage GEM One Encryption Manager/GEMX or GEM One.

  • Provide Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) Client Platform Administration.

  • Manage KMI.

  • Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

  • Manage KMI Storefront Operations SOP Maintenance and Updates.

  • Maintain inventory/list of required COMSEC operational documentation.

  • Provide routine COMSEC maintenance.

  • Identify mission requirements, as well as underlying challenges.

  • Make recommendations for improvements to existing systems/processes.

  • Establish and manage activities and milestones to achieve objectives.

  • Identify and analyze industry cryptographic best practices and solutions.

  • Provide recurring weekly and monthly reports.

  • Actively cultivate and maintain client relationships.

  • This position may require providing on-site support during inclement weather and any Federal Government shutdowns.


You must have a minimum of three years experience with certifications is systems such as:


  • Secure Data: TACLANES (KG-175 D thru G, KG- 250X), KIV-7M, KY99A.

  • Secure Voice: GD Spectra vIPer Phone, KY99A (UHF Radio), Iridium SAT phones, KSV-21 (STE).

  • Common Field Device (CFD): Secret Key Loader (SKL), ANCYZ 10 (Data to Data Device), RASKL (Key Loader), DTD 2000 (Key Loader).

  • Miscellaneous: Secure Fax (Data), non-COMSEC Control Item (CCI) connects to a STE phone or VIPER phone for secure Data Communications.


You’ll Bring These Additional Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen.

  • Active Top Secret clearance.

  • Bachelors Degree desired; High School diploma acceptable with requisite experience

  • Requires cryptographic analyst certification.

  • Requires cryptographic equipment certification(s).

  • Minimum five (5) years COMSEC equipment experience.

  • Minimum of one to two (1-2) years of experience with GEM One Encryption Manager / GEMX or GEM One.

  • Must be able to obtain KMI Client Platform Administrator (CPA) certification.

  • Minimum of one to two (1-2) years of experience working with cryptographic hardware in a KMI environment.

  • Must have in-depth knowledge & experience with policy, procedures, and processes involved in the KMI environment

  • Must have DoD Directive 8570.01-M IAT Level I certification (e.g. A+ CE; CCNA Security; Network+ CE; or SSCP)

  • Ability to advise clients on cryptographic solutions.

  • Aptitude for analytical thinking.

  • Capacity to develop or accept out-of-the box solutions.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Ability to communicate complex and technical issues to in writing, in an easily understood, authoritative, and actionable manner.
