Enterprise Support Engineer

Hill Associates is searching for a highly skilled Enterprise Support Engineer  to join our dynamic team.  As an Enterprise Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the implementation and administration of Microsoft solutions and related technologies.

She/he will provide engineering support to various proof-of-concept and/or pilot projects and design, develop, implement and ongoing support plans. Contractors will also be responsible for migrating DO users to O365 during FY20. She/he will possess high-level technology knowledge (SME level) in a wide array of IT fields including, but not limited to:

  • Design, plan and implement Office 365 solutions

  • Lead and deliver projects that encompass systems architecture, proof-of-concept and deployment services

  • Have a passion for learning and staying updated on emerging trends and technologies

  • Become a partner, subject-matter expert and trusted advisor to clients, advising on best-fit technologies and best practices

  • Able to speak to networking and infrastructure topics with clients to understand and recommend Office 365 solutions

  • Cloud Services: Microsoft, AWS, Oracle

  • Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows (workstations and servers), Linux

  • Directory Services

  • Network Services and protocols

  • Mobile computing and remote access

  • Storage area network

  • Virtualization

  • Identity and access management

  • Certificate Management

  • Data center operations

  • Federal cyber security policies and guidelines

She/he will demonstrate good working knowledge level in other fields including, but not limited to:

  • FedRAMP/FISMA

  • NIST SP800 publications

  • FIPS 199

  • LAN/WAN

  • Wireless technology

  • Microsoft Exchange Server

  • Microsoft Lync Server

  • System patch/update management

  • Antimalware management

  • Data/infrastructure security

Other duties supported will include reviewing and assessing emerging technologies, writing summary reports, communication plans, peer- and user-training materials, and providing escalation points of support for Operations. The Director of the Enterprise Engineering may assign additional duties, as needed.
