Hill Associates Corporation is seeking an IT Financial Analyst to join our team supporting the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) in a large Washington, D.C. Cabinet-level Federal agency. The position will report to the consulting team’s Program Manager. The position will initially focus on the Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) group within OCIO supporting management and oversight of an enterprise contract for vendor-managed Wide Area Network (WAN), voice, and telecommunications services. It will involve interfacing with service owners and other key stakeholders that are both federal employees and contractors, working with both technical and financial stakeholders.
The IT Financial Analyst role will require a general knowledge of supported IT enterprise services, to include WAN, Local Area Network (LAN), Voice over IP (VoIP), and related network-based communications technologies. Proficiency in the development and maintenance of cost models, spend ledgers, what-if scenarios, and strong analytical and collaboration skills is required. Familiarity with Technology Business Management (TBM) or other financial management taxonomy frameworks is preferred.
Remote-based support in the Washington, D.C. area is currently supported but the position is likely to transition to on-site work at a customer location in Washington, D.C.
What You Will Get to Do:
The IT Financial Analyst will be responsible for establishing and maintaining financial data sets to include price catalogs, service inventories, price estimation utility documents or worksheets, developing cost models, producing cost estimates and what-if scenarios, evaluating cost drivers, cost benchmarking, proposing methodologies to allocate costs across customers, tracking and reconciling funds execution, supporting validation of vendor invoicing, and producing various financial reports.
The IT Financial Analyst will work with the consulting team’s program manager and other financial analysts supporting efficient financial management for a large enterprise Shared Services Program.
You Will Bring These Qualifications:
Five (5) years of financial / accounting analysis, preferably related to IT
Prior experience with financial modeling or expense ledger development and maintenance.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (i.e. pivot tables, logic formulas, use of functions such as VLOOKUP, data validation, named ranges, conditional formatting).
Solid proficiency in other Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint
Bachelor’s Degree in finance, information technology, or relevant field of study
Solid written and oral communication skills
Knowledge of business analysis, methods, and supporting toolsets
Experience with implementing TBM (federal client preferred)
MBI Security Clearance (Public Trust) or ability to obtain a higher level clearance
Familiarity with Federal Government Program Management Offices
