Join a boutique consulting firm working on a large-scale contract where you will be a key resource supporting users with the rollout of a M365 cloud service. You will be part of the Department’s Enterprise Engineering group focused on developing solutions for users that increase productivity. You will leverage your Microsoft expert technical and consulting expertise to assist in the configuration, management, and support of M365 services for users. You will have the opportunity for significant client interaction as a trusted advisor, recommending technical solutions that resolve issues for users. Ideal candidates will have experience setting up M365 services including SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, and Azure AD, managing and administrating M365 SaaS services, and working directly with users to solve their problems. You will also have project management experience managing small engineering teams.

This position will require on-site work in Washington, D.C., with telework options available. During the current Covid-19 period, all our team members are supporting the clients in a 100% telework state.

What You Will Get to Do

  • Configure, manage and support M365 services (e.g., SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange Online, Azure AD).
  • Provide Tier 4/5 support on M365 cloud services.
  • Migrate data and users to M365 cloud.
  • Configure, manage and support M365 security and monitoring services (e.g., MDE, MDI, ATP, Unified Audit Log management, MCAS).
  • Configure, manage, and support email security on Exchange Online.
  • Provide peer training on Microsoft cloud services.
  • Monitor and provide alerts for Microsoft cloud service health and availability.
  • Compose Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), strategy documents, user instructions, O&M instructions, and configuration documents.
  • Communicate directly with management, peers, and users.

Required Qualifications

  • Expert-level skill and experience in:
    • M365 services: SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, Azure AD.
    • User and data migration from on-prem to Microsoft cloud services.
    • Microsoft Active Directory schema, DNS, GP, and identity federation.
    • Windows OS (servers and workstations).
    • Virtualization (VMware and Microsoft).
  • Working-level skill and experience in:
    • PKI and identity management.
    • Security controls and management using a firewall, IDP, email security.
    • Azure Government.
    • Cross-cloud federation and collaboration (e.g., GCC/Commercial to/from GCC-High).
  • Deep understanding of M365 application’s functionality and governance.
  • Ability to develop PowerShell scripts to streamline administrative tasks.
  • Must have good documentation and customer communications skills.
  • Able to work within an engineering team and understand/translate business requirements into technology solutions.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft cloud certifications.
  • Hands-on design, enhancement, and implementation of Office 365 solutions, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Server Online, Microsoft Exchange Hybrid, Azure Active Directory, and Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS).
  • Experience designing and implementing advanced functions for Office 365 including security, governance, and compliance (e.g., DLP, IRM, EMM, E-Discovery, In-Place Hold, Retention Tags, Encryption).
  • Basic knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and smart card authentication.
  • Understanding of mobility architectures across mobile technologies, IT standards, and applications.
  • Experience developing project plans and schedules for engineering projects.
