Hill Associates, a leading IT Consultant, is searching for a Senior Cybersecurity Architect to support the Department of the Treasury’s Enterprise Infrastructure. The Senior Cybersecurity Architect is responsible for all cyber risk designs of IT systems across Treasury’s enterprise.

The Treasury Department is the executive agency responsible for promoting economic prosperity and ensuring the financial security of the United States. Treasury operates and maintains systems that are critical to the nation’s financial infrastructure, such as the production of coin and currency, the disbursement of payments to the American public, revenue collection, and the borrowing of funds necessary to run the federal government. It is important for cybersecurity professionals and executive leadership within the Treasury Agency to understand the quantified risk around these mission critical systems.

This is a premier opportunity to join a team with a mandate to pilot and develop new techniques and strategies, including a software-based platform, for the management of enterprise-wide cyber risk. Treasury’s program is pushing the edge for the Federal Government in applying state-of-the art, commercially recognized methodologies to quantify cyber risk, and mitigate enterprise cyber risk.

The primary location of this metro-accessible position is at the Government Agency’s offices located on Pennsylvania Avenue NW, DC, two blocks from the Farragut West Metro Station.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Provide expertise and strategic IT / Cybersecurity support to a large USG Executive Department

  • Assist with development of technical architectures and supporting policy to enhance enterprise security footprint in compliance with OMB and DHS TIC 3.0 guidelines

  • Apply your technical acumen of Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, IT infrastructure and services in the development and deployment of enterprise level IT / Security policies, strategies, and plans

  • Interact with leadership and staff within the Office of the Chief Information Officer, and across the Agency and its Bureaus

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain public trust clearance level.

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Risk Management, Cybersecurity or related IT fields; advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum ten (10) years experience in data risk management, IT security, cloud computing, or enterprise IT architecture

  • Experience in at least 3 of the following: IT Risk Management, IT Architecture or Engineering, Networking, Security Operations, and IT Policy Formulation

  • Experience advising upper level management on a wide range of IT-related and security issues.

  • Understanding of cloud solutions and deployments types.

  • Experience in high-level systems analysis, requirements, assessment, and risk.

  • Prefer professional certification in IT / cyber security (e.g., CISSP, CRISC, CISM, CISA).

  • Knowledge of NIST 800 series, especially 800-30, 800-37, and 800-53.

  • Knowledge of Federal Government cybersecurity or IT security evaluation criteria.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Experience working with senior level management and clients.

  • Strong written, oral, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to capture high level technical information in a clear, concise manner.
