VoIP / IP Telephony Implementation Specialist

Hill Associates is seeking a mid-level VoIP / IP Telephony Implementation Specialist to join our team that supports the IT Service Delivery division of a high-profile Washington, D.C. federal agency.

What You’ll Get to Do:

This primarily technical role entails coordinating and providing operational support for an enterprise VoIP implementation and transitioning services to a new Unified Communications / cloud based UCaaS solution. This position will provide technical support to senior team members on VoIP / telecom related activities.


As a full-time employee, you will be part of a an established boutique consulting firm with demonstrated success delivering and supporting mission critical solutions. This opportunity involves enterprise-wide work in support of the Department OCIO, interaction with well-known Government agencies on VoIP / UC implementations, and interfacing with Department’s managed voice and data service provider.

 

Representative responsibilities include placing and auditing firewall requests, configuring and testing voice applications such as Jabber, and supporting different customers with a VoIP Automatic Call Distribution application.

 

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of voice / telecommunications / networking technical experience in an enterprise-class environment.

  • Hands-on experience and proficiency with Cisco voice and data products including Unified Communications Manager and Call Manager.

  • Understanding and high-level working technical knowledge of VoIP, UC, WAN/LANs, firewalls, enterprise architectures, network routing and transport protocols.

  • Strong analytical ability with experience troubleshooting problems and identifying creative workarounds.

  • Solid written and oral communication skills.

  • Able to produce professional work products using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • U.S. citizen; Possess or be able to successfully obtain a favorable adjudication from a government background investigation at the Secret clearance level.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

  • On-site work at customer offices in Washington, D.C.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing demands and environment

 

Additional/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Avaya Voice System and Cisco Contact Center

  • Prior work in a federal government environment

  • Experience working with vendors on behalf of the customer
