Information Risk Management and Cybersecurity Program Management Professional

Tim brings a 25-year career as an IT / Cybersecurity practitioner and business line leader serving both private and public sector clients.  Tim’s demonstrated subject matter expertise in both the business and technical contexts of IT and cybersecurity operations for on-premises and cloud services deployments provide him with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to assist organizations further evolve their compliance and security programs.

Tim’s experience includes security leadership positions for multiple organizations focusing on Risk Management, Security Program Management, Security Architecture, Telecommunications, and Cybersecurity Operations.   Tim has served as a Director for a Washington DC based software / SaaS hosting company and for a billion-dollar pharmaceutical company.  In both instances, these roles represented the most senior security resource within the company.  Tim has actively managed security operations teams up to 30 individuals as well as implementing and auditing infrastructure and systems in accordance with NIST 800-53, CFATS, and FedRAMP frameworks.  Currently, Tim is a lead technical and cybersecurity Program Manager supporting the Office of the Chief Information Officer within the United States Dept. of Treasury.

Tim has an M.B.A. specializing in IT management from American University in Washington, DC.  This formal education has been augmented with several recognized industry security and technical certifications, specifically, Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and ITILv3 Certifications during his career.
